The Minister of Public Health, Dr Malachie Manaouda has ordered an investigation after a video of late Cardinal Tumi’s dead body still on his hospital bed went viral.

In a tweet this morning, the Health boss wrote ”In these moments of compassion, following the death of Cardinal Tumi, it is unacceptable that images that violate his privacy should be broadcast.

An investigation has been ordered to establish responsibility for this… ”According to reports, the nurse and the doctor who were in charge of him are currently in police custody.

Christians are demanding justice for the “desecrated” body of the Cardinal.

According to section 274 of the Penal code, anybody found guilty of violating a corpse shall be punished with imprisonment for three months to five years with a fine from FCFA 10,000 to FCFA 100,000.

Christian Cardinal Tumi died early Saturday April 3 in a hospital in Douala aged 91.
